InfraSight Software Corporation, the Risk Management Platform for the Compute Economy, announced the appointment of Charles Portz as Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer. A significant investor and advisor who joined InfraSight’s Board earlier this year, Portz succeeds Co‑Founder and CEO Tim Martin as Chairman to lead financial strategy and governance as the company emerges from stealth.
Portz, a founding hedge fund CFO/COO who scaled his prior firm from startup to over half a billion AUM, brings two decades of institutional finance and operational leadership to InfraSight’s next chapter.
“Charles brings a unique mix of integrity, creativity, AI innovation, and institutional savvy,” said Martin. “The opportunity in front of us is massive – an emerging category forecasted to grow 22x by 2030 to a $450 million serviceable market. Charles is one of the most exceptional leaders I’ve ever worked with. I have complete confidence in him to align our capital, operations, and governance to capture this advantage.”
“Compute is now a strategic asset class,” said Portz. “InfraSight gives C‑Suite and board executives the clarity to quantify, price, and hedge compute with capital‑markets precision. I’ve watched InfraSight develop their patent‑protected Workload Compute Unit (WCU) into the standard executives will rely on to govern their compute economics. The inflection point is here; my objective is to position the team so they can accelerate with confidence.”
Why Now
AI demand, volatile GPU pricing, power constraints, and supply chain fragility have turned compute from a line-item expense into a board‑level KPI risk. InfraSight’s patent‑protected WCU provides the common metric and contract standard executives need to actively manage risk – with transparency, controls, and full audit trails.
InfraSight is the Risk Management Platform for the Compute Economy – bringing capital markets precision to how enterprises govern their infrastructure. At its core is the patent‑protected Workload Compute Unit (WCU), a universal benchmark and contract pricing metric that enables organizations to actively manage compute as a financial asset. InfraSight empowers C‑Suite and board executives with clarity and control across M&A, GRC, and hedging strategies.
