NumbersGame today announced its Stripe integration, giving bookkeeping and finance teams a faster, more controlled way to turn Stripe payment activity into accurate accounting entries.
The integration connects a client’s own Stripe account to the corresponding company in NumbersGame. From Claude or ChatGPT, authorized users can review charges, fees, refunds and payouts; investigate transaction activity; reconcile Stripe balances; and prepare entries for the accounting ledger.
Rather than requiring teams to download reports and manually recreate Stripe activity, NumbersGame organizes transactions into reviewed period summaries and payout entries. Once approved, those entries can be posted to QuickBooks Online or Xero.
“Stripe activity can become surprisingly time-consuming once fees, refunds and payouts all need to be reconciled,” said Anelya Grant, CEO at NumbersGame. “This integration gives accounting teams a clear workflow from payment activity to reviewed ledger entry - without taking control away from the people responsible for the books.”
The integration includes:
- Search and review of Stripe transactions, payouts, fees and refunds
- Detailed payout breakdowns and balance tie-outs
- Proposed accounting summaries for a selected period
- Reviewed period summaries posted as a single journal entry
- Payout booking with safeguards against duplicate entries
- Reversal of previously booked period summaries
- Support for firm-level permissions and read-only controls
NumbersGame places human review at the center of the workflow. A period summary can only be booked from the exact proposal that was reviewed. If the underlying Stripe activity changes before posting, NumbersGame refuses the entry and generates an updated proposal for review.
Additional controls help prevent duplicate payout entries when the same activity already appears in a connected bank feed. Foreign-currency items that require further attention are held rather than automatically recognized as revenue.
The integration is also designed to minimize unnecessary data retention. Stripe transaction history is read live and is not stored by NumbersGame. The platform retains the connection information and a record of summaries and payouts that users choose to book. Connection credentials are encrypted, and access is governed by each firm’s roles, company permissions and read-only settings.
The Stripe integration extends NumbersGame's mission to help accounting professionals work with financial systems through the AI tools they already use-while preserving review, authorization and accountability at every step.
